Case Study: BCF & Proskills
During 2008 Orrest secured managerial responsibility for sales and promotion of the International Coatings Certificate (ICC) a modular based programme of training for the Coatings Industry. Working closely with the BCF and on behalf of its membership, Orrest has been successful in securing accreditation for ICC programme participants which will contribute towards Professional Membership of OCCA - the respected Oil and Colour Chemists' Association. Also, by working with Proskills (the Skills Council for the Sector), Orrest has been instrumental in persuading the powers that be that the certificate will formally qualify for government funding in due course, all in all an excellent result for the industry.
